SeawaysMPSS · offshore hosts, leased
Seaways Engineering International

Lease the host.
Populate the deck.
Start earning.

A standard low-motion offshore platform, leased bare under long-term contract. You bring the topsides and run your business. Seaways owns the hull and carries it.

30,000 tonnes of deck payload. Fixed interface points. No shipyard programme, no bespoke engineering cycle, no hull residual risk on your balance sheet.

This is not a new hull form

The same architecture that hosts deepwater production today

Ring-pontoon, four-column, deep-draft platforms are the standard deepwater production host now in service around the world. MPSS is that architecture — built to one fixed standard, and leased instead of sold.

Proven in service

This hull form carries hydrocarbon production, in the most demanding motion environments offshore, on units operating right now. The architectural risk was retired by the industry, with the industry's own capital.

An established class pathway

Class societies have approved this hull form repeatedly, for other owners. MPSS is not a first-of-a-kind approval problem — unit certification proceeds on build, against a form the societies already know well.

A pre-certified design

The MPSS design holds a Lloyd's Register pre-certification and an independent hazard review that identified no inherent safety weakness, supported by physical model testing at the University of Glasgow.

You are not being asked to fund a new kind of platform. You are being asked to fund a proven kind of platform, owned and leased instead of built one field at a time.

Structural life across multiple lease cycles

Fixed, so it can be leased

Column size and spacing, ring-pontoon geometry, operating draft, primary scantlings, deck grid and load-out points, mooring foundations. Qualified once, built repeatedly, identical every time.

Open, so it can be used

Topsides layout, utility tie-in capacity, riser porch fit-out, and how much of the payload envelope you take. The deck is yours. Suitable for steel catenary risers where the application calls for them.

Markets

Unrelated industries. Identical requirement.

Carbon storage, offshore substations, floating wind, offshore compute, hydrogen, desalination, subsea tiebacks and offshore logistics all need the same thing underneath them: stable, heavy, repeatable space at sea. None of them wants to become a marine engineering company to get it.

Deepwater production

SCR-host platform for field development.

Offshore data centres

Seawater cooling, no grid queue, no land permitting.

HVDC and substations

Floating converter and grid-hub platforms.

Carbon storage

Compression, injection and monitoring.

Desalination

SWRO under long-term sovereign offtake.

Floating wind hubs

Turbine, storage and dispatchable generation.

Defence and sovereign

Relocatable, physically isolated capability.

Marine logistics

Transhipment, bunkering, O&M basing.

Why leasing changes the economics

A bespoke host is a sunk cost. A standard host is an asset.

Provenance

Not a blank sheet

Primary documents are released to qualified counterparties under NDA. Unit class certification is issued on build, in the normal way.

We are looking for one anchor lessee

If you need stable, heavy, relocatable space at sea and you do not want to build and own the platform to get it, there is a conversation to have.
